Korean Women in U.S. Urge Park Geun Hye to Step down
Pyongyang, May 22 (KCNA) -- Korean women in the United States are dynamically launching actions across the U.S. demanding Park Geun Hye bear responsibility for the ferry Sewol sinking disaster and step down, according to Minjok Thongsin, the internet newspaper of Koreans in the U.S.

At least 300 Korean women in the U.S. gathered in front of the south Korean consulate general in Los Angeles on May 10. They said the ferry disaster was intolerable and that Park Geun Hye should bear the largest responsibility for the disaster.

Advertisements denouncing the group of Park Geun Hye were carried in The New York Times and the Washington Post by the fund-raising campaign of Koreans in different parts of the U.S. conducted according to the call of Korean women in the U.S.

Korean women also took the lead in the struggle staged under the slogan "Park Geun Hye, step down!" in 38 cities including Washington, New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago, Atlanta and Philadelphia from May 16 to 18.

Heard in the venues of the struggle were voices of indignation of Korean women in the U.S.

They are hardening their will to fight it out to probe the truth about the disaster and punish those responsible for it, positively supporting the struggle of the people from all walks of life in south Korea demanding the resignation of Park.
