Typical of them is the Nampho Fishery Station, which has registered gratifying results in hitting this year's fishing goal, set 2.5 times higher than last year's.

All its fishing boats, equipped with various kinds of nets, turned out in increasing the haul.

As of mid-May, the station caught several hundred more tons of fish than the figure in last year's corresponding period.

Its manager, Kang Kyong Su, told KCNA:

The success in fishing depends on ensuring the repair of boats in time and preparing fishing tackles in a responsible manner.

My station has carried on the work to remodel fishing boats while repairing them in order to equip them with more fishing nets.

It also paid attention to providing in addition motors of small output to the fishing boats to reduce their fuel consumption.

We will drastically raise the number of outings for fishing and the amount of draught and introduce the advanced halieutics to make big hauls this year.
