Punishment Should Be Meted Out to Park Geun Hye Group: Chongryon Officials
Tokyo, May 20 (KNS-KCNA) -- Officials of organizations under the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) released statements on May 19 denouncing the Park Geun Hye group for turning the whole of south Korea into a mourners' house by causing the ferry Sewol disaster.

Ri Tong Je, chairman of the Association of Koreans in Japan for Peaceful Reunification, said the Sewol tragedy clearly proved that the south Korean authorities were only keen on gratifying their political greed in utter disregard of the lives and security of the people.

He denounced the Park group's sycophantic and traitorous moves of making desperate efforts to get rid of the pretty fix by mocking at the people, turning its back on them and relying on outsiders even though it perpetrated the hideous tragedy.

Kim Cha Dol, chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the Korean Youth league in Japan, said that if Park is allowed to remain in office as now, more innocent south Koreans will meet deaths, stressing severe punishment should be meted out to the Park group.

Jo Han Ju, chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the Union of Korean Teachers in Japan, said the monstrous atrocity committed by the Park group was an unprecedented crime against humanity and a hideous massacre that shocked the world.

Kang Chu Ryon, chairperson of the Central Standing Committee of the Korean Democratic Women's Union in Japan, said the recent massacre was caused by the Park group which is only keen on prolonging its days by kowtowing to its American master, not caring whether people die or not, strongly demanding Park step down immediately in the name of all Korean women.

Ri Thae Il, chairman of the Korean Students Committee in Japan, said as long as sycophantic traitor and war maniac Park is allowed to stay in power, south Koreans can never escape misfortune and disgrace.
