S. Korean Authorities Urged to Open to Public Information about Ferry Sewol Disaster
Pyongyang, May 22 (KCNA) -- The Solidarity for Democracy, People's Life, Peaceful Reunification and Sovereignty of south Korea held a press conference around Chongwadae on May 19 demanding the puppet authorities open to public information about the ferry Sewol disaster, according to the south Korean internet paper Jaju Minbo.

It demanded the authorities open to public communications among the disaster measure headquarters, maritime police and media on the ferry sinking, reports, contents of reports made to Park Geun Hye and Kim Jang Su, original sailing records, etc. The authorities should show information about the maritime police's rescue operation, data on the check-up of security of the ferry and cargo loading, papers allowing sailing, composition of the joint investigation headquarters and results of investigation into the captain and crewmen, the organization held.

It also demanded the authorities open to public documents related to the decision of the present regime's policy on easing regulations including the norms for operating the ship security management system.

It warned that if the regime refuses to accept these demands, the organization would opt for legal actions including administrative action.
