Japan's Moves for Exercising Right to Collective Self-Defense Slammed
Pyongyang, May 21 (KCNA) -- The South Kyongsang Provincial Headquarters of the South Side Committee for Implementing June 15 Joint Declaration, the South Kyongsang Provincial Progressive Federation and the Joint Council of Civic and Public Organizations of South Kyongsang Province held a press conference at the provincial office on May 19 denouncing Japan for trying to exercise the right to collective self-defense, according to the south Korean Internet paper Voice of People.

At the press conference the organizations said that it is intolerable that Japan exercises the right to collective self-defense as it seeks to embellish the history of its past aggression and pave the way of reinvading the Korean peninsula through the revision of the Pacifist Constitution.

This is the violation of the UN Charter and the provocative declaration that Japan would take the road of invasion and war again, oblivious of its crimes as a war criminal state, they noted.

In view of the Japanese prime minister's reckless remarks about "security" and "north's missile" it is clear that the Korean peninsula is the first target of the exercise of the right to collective self-defense, they said.

If Japan exercises the right to collective self-defense according to the U.S. strategy, this will put the peace on the Korean peninsula and in Northeast Asia in peril, they noted.
