Park Geun Hye Urged to Step Down
Pyongyang, May 21 (KCNA) -- The Commonwealth of Independent States Regional Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification in a statement on May 17 asserted the Park Geun Hye group can never evade the responsibility for the ferry Sewol sinking disaster.

Resentments run high in south Korean society due to the tragedy that took a lot of schoolchildren's lives, the statement said, and continued:

The south Korean authorities pushed those people to deaths even though there was a possibility of saving them. Now they work desperately to shift the blame on to others and tide over the crisis.

Considering the tragedy as a big burden for them as the elections to local self-governing bodies are just at hand, the south Korean authorities employ every possible trick to divert elsewhere the public criticism.

As was disclosed one after another in the investigation by the prosecution, the Sewol tragedy is an inevitable product caused by the south Korean authorities' unpopular politics, the statement said, warning the Park "regime" can never evade the responsibility for the disaster.

As long as the Park "regime" remains in office, the second and third Sewol accident will be unavoidable as it does not care for the lives of the people, the statement stressed.
