Korean Young People in Japan Launch Action for Immediate Application of Tuition-free Program
Pyongyang, May 18 (KCNA) -- Members of the Korean Youth League in Japan conducted street information activities from April 16 to 27 in demand of an immediate application of the tuition-free program for senior high schools to Korean schools.

The Hyogo and Hiroshima headquarters of the league conducted signature campaigns in streets several times.

Members of the league in Tokyo, Osaka, Kanagawa, Chiba, Saitama and Aichi conducted signature campaigns at railway stations and in streets, chanting slogans of "Immediately apply tuition-free program to our students!" and "Ensure equal right to learning!"

They expressed the will to fight it out to defend the future of the Korean schools and Korean compatriots community, expressing resentment at the Japanese authorities' ceaseless moves for stamping out the national education, 66 years since the April 24 struggle for education.

Meanwhile, Japanese who took part in the signature campaigns said:

The students' right to learning should be ensured regardless of the state-to-state issue. It is a shame of a member of the international community that the Japanese government is discriminating against the Korean nation.
