Action for Having Park Geun Hye Regime Step Down Called for
Pyongyang, May 17 (KCNA) -- Those concerned of education in south Korea declared that they would turn out in the action for probing the truth behind the ferry Sewol sinking accident and having the puppet regime step down, according to south Korean KBS and MBC.

More than 15 000 members of the Teachers Union Thursday released a declaration of teachers, asserting that there was no reason for the "president" to remain any longer as she has no will and capability to protect the people's life.

The declaration said that if Park Geun Hye can not thoroughly probe the truth behind the disaster and punish those responsible for it, she should step down.

Prior to this, south Korean teachers posted a declaration calling for the resignation of the puppet chief executive on the website of Chongwadae on May 13.

The declaration censured the Park's regime for working hard to evade the blame for the accident and binding eyes of the people, shutting their ears and gagging them by putting media under control.

It charged that the guideline of the Ministry of Education which banned government officials and teachers from taking part in the memorial services for the victims of the ferry Sewol sinking accident is a revelation of the attempt to calm down the people's anger and evade the responsibility for the accident.

It called for turning out in a positive campaign for resigning the Park regime filled with incompetence, irresponsibility, shamelessness, deception and arrogance.

At least 130 professors of Yonsei University in a statement on May 14 called for probing the truth behind the disaster and accused the "government" of making false reports, not positively coping with the accident after its occurrence.

They strongly demanded the basic cause of the disaster and the "government's" responsibility for it be clearly indicated.
