Pakyon-Ryongthong Temple Tourist Highway Opened to Traffic
Kaesong, May 16 (KCNA) -- The Pakyon-Ryongthong Temple Tourist Highway was opened to traffic.

President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il visited the picturesque Pakyon Falls several times, indicating orientation and ways of building the area of Pakyon Falls as a pleasure ground for the people and a tourist destination and wisely leading the work to do so.

Marshal Kim Jong Un solved all the issues arising in the construction project of the highway to fully carry out the behests of Kim Jong Il.

Officials and builders in Kaesong City turned out to implement the behests of the President and Kim Jong Il and carry through the noble intention of the Workers' Party of Korea. They removed steep cliffs and rocks and hundreds of thousands of cubic meters of earth to fill up deep valleys to form the roadbed and conducted stone work of more than 36 000 square meters.

They built three new sightseeing roads extending at least four kilometers, more than 10 bridges, parking lots and cultural and welfare establishments to successfully complete the highway.

The completion of the highway helps form the Kaesong-Pakyon-Ryongthong Temple ring road. It will provide better convenience to the visitors to the area which conveys the leadership exploits performed by the President and Kim Jong Il for developing the scenic spots Pakyon Falls and Ryongthong Temple and the history of love shown by them for the people.
