S. Korean Media Slams Authorities' Confrontation Row
Pyongyang, May 12 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Internet paper Voice of People on May 9 released an editorial denouncing the puppet authorities for kicking off a confrontation racket in the wake of ferry Sewol sinking accident.

The editorial said:

The approval rating for Park Geun Hye has rapidly sunk due to the regime's incompetence and irresponsibility disclosed in the course of handling the ferry sinking accident.

Park Geun Hye, Chongwadae and the ruling party are making a conspiratorial intrigue to tone down the people's anger as evidenced by their charade intended to pass the buck for the accident to the captain and crewmen of the ferry, much upset by it.

With the date of local election is drawing near, they are working hard to use the ferry sinking accident for the purpose of an "ideological argument about followers of the north."

The Park group, while raising a hue and cry over what it called emergency situation, openly declared "a war for achieving victory in the election" while conservative media are locked in "ideological argument," claiming that "photos on the memorial service for those who died in the ferry sinking accident posted on Internet homepage are meant to agitate the resignation of the regime" and "the disaster is abused as a lever for anti-government actions."

Park, in particular, issued an order at a "meeting of the State Council" to "severely punish those who spread false rumors and groundlessly hurled mud on the Internet homepage after finding them out," an indication of the ulterior motive of the conservative forces.

Her group's act of abusing the ferry sinking accident for "the ideological argument" is as foolish an act as digging its graves itself.
