Pyongyang Symposium on Medical Science Held
Pyongyang, May 5 (KCNA) -- The 16th Pyongyang symposium on medical science of Koreans at home and abroad took place at the Taedonggang Diplomatic Club Monday.

Present there were Kim Hyong Hun, chairman of the Central Committee of the Medical Association of Korea, and officials, scientists and teachers in the field of public health.

Kim Tae Sik, vice-chairman of the Korean Health Workers Association in Japan, members of the delegation of Korean medical workers in the U.S. led by Pak Ki Bom and other overseas Koreans were on hand.

An opening address made by Kim Hyong Hun was followed by congratulatory speeches.

A lecture titled "The DPRK's most advantageous women's healthcare system in the world" was given at the symposium.

Its participants heard "Researches in establishment of telemedicine system in our country" and other papers.

Speakers in their papers deeply explained the advanced research successes and experience gained in the course of introducing latest science and technology into preventing and treating diseases.
