Kaesong City Featured by Gingko Trees
Kaesong, April 30 (KCNA) -- Gingko trees growing on both sides of streets in Kaesong City add to the scenic beauty of the time-honored cultural city.

These trees make passers-by in the city particularly pleasant.

President Kim Il Sung, while providing field guidance to Kaesong City on September 14, Juche 61 (1972), gave an instruction to plant a lot of those trees along the streets of the city.

The city successfully built a nursery of gingko saplings to mass-produce them.

Trees in Namdaemun crossroads, Pojon, Yokjon, Sungjon and Unhak streets and other streets in the center of the city were replaced by gingko trees.

This year, the city built the streets between the City People's Hospital and Tongdaemun and between the Youth Park and Cinema on an expansion basis and planted gingko trees along them.
