16th Kimilsungia Festival Closes
Pyongyang, April 21 (KCNA) -- The 16th Kimilsungia Festival closed with due ceremony at the Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Exhibition on Monday. It opened on April 13 on the occasion of the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.

The venue of the festival where tens of thousands of flowers of the sun were displayed was visited by hundreds of thousands of service personnel, working people, school youth and children, overseas Koreans and foreign guests.

The festival which drew endless crowd of visitors every day clearly reflected the firm resolution of the service personnel and people of the DPRK to successfully carry forward and accomplish the revolutionary cause of the peerlessly great men.

Present at the closing ceremony were Kim Ki Nam, Yang Hyong Sop and officials concerned, officials of the armed forces and power bodies, ministries and national institutions, service personnel, working people, school youth and children in the city and overseas Koreans.

Present there on invitation were Nasri Gustaman, Indonesian ambassador to the DPRK, and foreign guests.

Diplomas of the Kimilsungia Festival were awarded to units and former unconverted long-term prisoners who were highly estimated at the festival.

They were also conferred on the Indonesian embassy here, the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan, foreigners and overseas Koreans.

Certificates of the participation in the festival went to many units and participants.

Kim Chang Do, chairman of the Korea Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Committee, made a closing address.
