S. Korean Authorities Should Refrain from Slandering DPRK: News Analysis
Pyongyang, April 17 (KCNA) -- The south Korean authorities have persistently resorted to slandering the DPRK.

Some days ago, Park Geun Hye, the top south Korean decision-maker, at a meeting of senior secretaries of Chongwadae talked about "the north's breach of the promise to stop slandering and provoking each other" and "internal unrest" in the north.

Meanwhile, the south Korean puppet regime claimed that it did not slander the north but the latter abused its "president" by directly naming her.

This is the height of folly reminding one of a thief crying "Stop thief!"

It is none other than the Park group that reneged on the agreement on halting slanders between the north and the south.

In the historic New Year Address, the DPRK called for putting an end to making slanders in order to open up a new phase of the nation's independent and peaceful reunification. And the DPRK National Defence Commission advanced a crucial proposal for its implementation.

Nevertheless, the south Korean puppet group totally rejected the call and proposal, terming them "wordplay".

In February, the north and the south opened high-level contacts in which they made an agreement on stopping slandering each other.

True to the agreement, the DPRK had refrained from doing all acts considered by the south Korean authorities to be slanders.

Moreover, it took a series of measures conducive to detente and brought to success the reunion of separated families and their relatives even at a time when the DPRK-targeted joint military drills were at hand in south Korea.

But the south Korean chief executive during her overseas tour dared slander the DPRK over its strategic line of simultaneously pushing forward economic construction and the building of nuclear force as well as its social system, while taking issue with "the north's nuclear threat".

In the meantime, the puppet military and ministries of Foreign Affairs and Unification have been hell-bent on anti-DPRK psychological campaign and abuses of "human rights situation" in the DPRK, arguing that "the military's north-targeted psychological warfare and the north's human rights issue have nothing to do with the suspension of slanders."

Now the puppet authorities are openly making slanders against the DPRK, while south Korean media are echoing their remarks and the defectors to the south are running amuck in scattering anti-DPRK leaflets.

Ceaseless slanders have brought the north-south relations to collapse.

The puppet group's slanders will only lead to its shameful destruction.
