Rodong Sinmun Denounces U.S.-Japan-S. Korea Confab against DPRK

Pyongyang, April 13 (KCNA) -- Some days ago, the chief negotiators of the U.S., Japan and south Korea for six-party talks met in Washington to discuss "decisive sanctions" against the DPRK by the UN Security Council in case of an "additional provocation" from the DPRK, talking about "its threat of 4th nuclear test" and "missile provocation".

Rodong Sinmun comments on this on Sunday:

It is a criminal conspiracy to deprive the DPRK of its sovereign right through international sanctions and military pressure and isolate and stifle it at any cost.

It is quite natural for the DPRK to take self-defensive countermeasures including beefing up of nuclear deterrence to protect the country and socialism and defend peace on the Korean peninsula from the U.S.-south Korean puppet forces' evermore escalating war moves against the DPRK.

The "tripartite dialogue" of the U.S., Japan and south Korean authorities who threatened to slap sanctions against the DPRK, labeling the DPRK's just cause for defending its sovereignty as a "provocation," is an unpardonable challenge to it and a dangerous adventure leading the situation on the Korean peninsula to an uncontrollable catastrophe.

The U.S. and south Korean puppet forces will be held wholly accountable for the disastrous consequences to be entailed by their reckless act against the DPRK.
