Jean Mbongopassi, secretary general of the National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea of DR Congo, said this at a releasing ceremony of Kim Il Sung's work held on April 2.

He went on to say:

We live in the era of independence at present.

The people of African countries including DR Congo attained independence free from the imperialist colonial rule in the past but they are, in actuality, still subject to the fate of neo-colonial slavery forced by imperialists.

Kim Il Sung's work "Let Us Uphold Independence" clearly indicates a road of genuine independence for us to follow under the present situation and contains a lot of propositions gripping the hearts of the people.

We should thoroughly apply his work to our realities.
