Self-defense Is DPRK's Legitimate Exercise of Sovereignty: Rodong Sinmun
Pyongyang, April 4 (KCNA) -- The UN Security Council recently committed a provocative act of "denouncing" the DPRK's justifiable rocket launching drills for no reason. This was a wanton violation of international justice. Rodong Sinmun on Friday says this in an article.

It goes on:

It is the trite method of the U.S. to disarm a sovereign state and overthrow it under the pretext of "defending peace".

If the UNSC persistently tries to deny the DPRK's legitimate exercise of the right to self-defense pursuant to unreasonable "resolutions" according to the U.S. scenario, away from impartiality, it will only escalate tensions and spark conflict, aggression and war, far from contributing to keeping peace and security on the Korean peninsula and in the region.

Peace is very dear for the Korean people. However, it can hardly be achieved by desire or begging.

Peace can be achieved only when the right to self-defence is exercised.

This is a bitter lesson taught by human history.

The farce staged by the U.S. to "denounce" the DPRK's rocket launching drills for no reason after bringing them up for discussion at the UNSC is aimed to divert the blame for escalating tensions to the DPRK.

As the U.S. persists in its moves to isolate and stifle the DPRK by abusing the UNSC, the DPRK will leave no means untried to exercise the right to self-defense.

It is the DPRK's mode of retaliation to counter the enemy's dagger with a long sword and their gun with an artillery piece.

The DPRK's self-defensive military force will remain undeterred by whatever anti-DPRK racket the U.S. may kick up on the UN arena.

The U.S. persistent denial of the DPRK's military measures for self-defence would put itself at peril.
