Anti-DPRK Landing Exercise of U.S., S. Korean Military Warmongers Blasted
Pyongyang, April 4 (KCNA) -- Warmongers inside and outside south Korea on March 31 opened to media the large-scale joint landing drill codenamed Ssangyong now under way as part of Foal Eagle joint military exercises.

Rodong Sinmun Friday says in a commentary in this regard: These moves are a blatant challenge to the DPRK making sincere efforts for the improvement of the north-south relations and detente on the Korean peninsula.

The joint landing drill of the U.S. and the south Korean military warmongers is a dangerous saber-rattling aimed at a preemptive attack on the north, to all intents and purposes.

This year's Ssangyong drill is the largest-ever in history.

22 Ospreys of the U.S. forces are involved to test their operational capabilities for the first time in history.

The past Ssangyong exercises put a main emphasis on infiltration from the sea. However, this year's exercises involve the aerial infiltration operation by Ospreys.

The largest-ever anti-DPRK landing exercises now under way despite the unanimous denunciation of the public at home and abroad render the situation on the Korean peninsula extremely tense.

The prevailing grave situation proves that the U.S. and the south Korean authorities never stand for the improvement of the north-south relations and peace but pursue confrontation and war only.

It is the right to self-defense for the DPRK to resolutely counter the military provocation by the warmongers at home and abroad.
