Pyongyang, April 2 (KCNA) -- The Chongsan Co-op Farm in Kangso District, Nampho City in the DPRK is planning to introduce advanced methods to this year's farming.

The farm completed feasible plan for this year's farming to introduce advanced farming technology and cultivation technology in raising rice seedlings.

Kim Yong Sik, chief engineer of farm, told KCNA:

The farm decided to introduce humus-pot seedlings, rapid-growing seedlings and granulated nutritive seedlings to all its arable land on the basis of the farm's experience and technical foundations.

Farming by granulated nutritive seedlings is one of advanced farming methods as it needs the area of rice-seedling 10 times smaller than before, thus saving a large quantity of vinyl sheets, seeds, fertilizer and workforce.

On the basis of scientific soil analysis, the farm plans to introduce the high-yield species of seeds to 70 percent of the farm's cultivated area.

All the employees of the farm are striving to acquire a wide range of advanced farming technologies.

The farm also plans to introduce mud-snail organic farming in an intensive way.
