At the news conference Nam Sung U, vice-chairman of the Central Standing Committee of Chongryon, made public a statement.

The statement recalled that the Tokyo District Court unreasonably de-listed a company of Mongolia, as the highest tenderer at the auction of the land and building of the Central Headquarters of Chongryon, and issued a decision to allow the sale to the Marunaka Holdings Co. Ltd., Japan in an exceptional manner on March 24.

This was an unprecedented tyrannical action of openly revealing the discrimination of the Japanese judicial authorities and an intolerable hostile act against the DPRK as it was aimed to seize the Korean Hall at any cost in disregard of the law of Japan, judicial precedents and practices of sale procedures, the statement said, and went on:

The decision of the judicial authorities was made owing to the undisguised discriminating measure taken without any consideration of the noble mission the Korean Hall has performed to protect the life and rights of Koreans in Japan and promote Korea-Japan friendship and peace in Northeast Asia. It will never escape from the denunciation by the peoples of Korea and Japan but lay a stumbling block in the way of mending the Korea-Japan relations.

The Central Standing Committee of Chongryon strongly demands the Tokyo District Court cancel at once the illegal decision to allow the sale of the Korean Hall.
