Revolutionary Spirit of Paektu Is Valuable Wealth of Korean Revolution: Rodong Sinmun
Pyongyang, March 25 (KCNA) -- Leader Kim Jong Il made public the famous work "Let Us Cultivate the Revolutionary Spirit of Paektu among the Rising Generation" on March 24, Juche 58 (1969) to clarify the theoretical and practical matters for the rising generation to thoroughly arm themselves with the revolutionary spirit of Paektu and live and struggle in the spirit.

The revolutionary spirit of Paektu which was created in the flames of the anti-Japanese armed struggle organized by President Kim Il Sung is the spirit of remaining loyal to the idea and cause of the leader, the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance and fortitude overcoming difficulties with one's own efforts and the indomitable fighting spirit.

The revolutionary spirit of Paektu is the valuable wealth of the Korean revolution to be inherited down through generations, says Rodong Sinmun Tuesday in an article.

The article goes on:

This spirit can never change though many years have gone by and generations were placed with new ones. We should make to the end generation after generation the march started on Mt. Paektu, along the course of Juche.

The revolutionary spirit and precious soul of the anti-Japanese forerunners serve as the basic source which helped create the great tradition of unity and cohesion of the revolutionary ranks centered on the leader, and the powerful engine which helped the younger generation dynamically advance along the road of the revolution under the guidance of the leader.

The younger generation of the DPRK is turning out as one in the drive for building a thriving nation, bearing deep in mind for what did the forerunners fight at the cost of lives and work harder than others.

The younger generation of the Korean revolution who inherited the revolutionary spirit of Paektu as precious mental legacy will advance straight to the last along the path of Juche despite whatever storm and stress.
