Lao Ambassador to DPRK Hosts Reception
Pyongyang, March 21 (KCNA) -- Lao Ambassador to the DPRK Kiettisak Keobanhdith hosted a reception at the Taedonggang Diplomatic Club Friday on the occasion of the 59th anniversary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP).

Present there on invitation were Kim Yong Il, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Jong Suk, chairwoman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, Cha Hui Rim, chairman of the Pyongyang City People's Committee who double as chairman of the DPRK-Lao Friendship Association, Ri Chang Gun, vice department director of the C.C., the WPK, and officials concerned.

Kiettisak Keobanhdith in his speech said that the LPRP and the WPK had traditional friendly relations in which they supported and cooperated with each other.

The friendly and cooperative relations between the two parties and the two countries are further developing in depth in all fields under the deep care of the top leaders of the two parties, he noted.

Kim Yong Il said that the party and people of Laos have made many successes in their efforts to implement the tasks and attain goals set forth in the 9th congress of the party under the banner of patriotism, independence and self-reliance and strenuous efforts.

He evinced the pledge to make positive efforts to boost the friendly and cooperative relations with the LPRP in the future, too, true to the noble intention of supreme leader Kim Jong Un.
