Senior Secondary School Renamed after Hero Kim Kum Su
Usi, March 21 (KCNA) -- Palun Senior Secondary School was renamed after Kim Kum Su, hero of the DPRK, and his bust was erected at the school in Usi County, Jagang Province.

Kim Kum Su, a graduate from the then Palun Middle School, joined the Korean People's Army. After finishing his military service, he worked at an explosive defusing squad of the Kangwon Provincial People's Security Bureau. He contributed to detecting and defusing lots of explosives, protecting the lives and properties of people.

In October two years ago he died heroic death after saving his comrades at the critical moment of defusing a time bomb dropped by a U.S. forces plane during the Korean war.

Supreme leader Kim Jong Un praised him as the best man trained by the party, a model of security personnel in the Songun era and a genuine party cell secretary desired by the party.

Kim Jong Un made sure that he enjoyed an eternal life and his alma mater was renamed after the hero and his bust was erected at the school.

The renaming ceremony took place on Friday.

At the end of the ceremony the participants looked round the bust.
