S. Korean Authorities Urged to Show Will to Mend Inter-Korean Relations through Practical Actions
Pyongyang, March 17 (KCNA) -- Yu Song Ok, director of the Institute for Security Strategy under the Intelligence Service of south Korea, in a special lecture before lawmakers from the "Saenuri Party" on Mar. 11 slandered the dignity of the supreme leadership of the DPRK.

Rodong Sinmun Monday says in a commentary in this regard:

It is the worst insult and provocation against the inviolable dignity of the supreme leadership and social system of the DPRK.

The incident of hurting the dignity of the supreme leadership goes to clearly prove once again that the Intelligence Service of south Korea is a den of evils of those hell-bent on plot-breeding and the confrontation with fellow countrymen.

The confrontational plotters of south Korea are trying to test the DPRK, which proposed stopping mud-slinging, in such a way of using baits one by one after setting stages of media, civic organizations, authorities and experts.

The DPRK is showing greatest self-restraint, regarding it as the first footstep for improving inter-Korean relations to stop slandering the other side. This aims to defuse distrust and confrontation between the north and the south at an early date and opt for reconciliation, cooperation and reunification, not to leave the abnormal north-south relations intact while remaining a passive onlooker to the provocative acts of the other side.

The south Korean authorities should not talk about confidence but show their will to mend the north-south ties through practical actions, though belatedly.
