Ibrahim Mantu who is a member of the Credit Committee of the People's Democratic Party of Nigeria and chairman of the Nigeria-DPRK Friendship Association was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The preparatory committee decided to hold colorful political and cultural events to widely introduce the brilliant revolutionary career of the President and his undying feats on the occasion of the Day of the Sun.
