China's State Council on Human Rights Situation in U.S.
Beijing, March 12 (KCNA) -- An article of the Information Office of the State Council of the People's Republic of China was posted on the Chinese website Xinhua Network recently.

The article said that the U.S. in its State Department's "Country Reports on Human Rights Practices for 2013" cooked up by deceptions and fabrications pointed an accusing finger at many countries of the world, styling itself the "world judge of human rights".

It went on:

In fact, the human rights issue of the U.S. in 2013 is still grave and the human rights situation is steadily worsening in many fields.

In 2013, 137 people died in 30 mass killings, which caused four or more deaths each, in the U.S.

The U.S. engaged in a tapping program, code-named PRISM, exercising long-term and vast surveillance both at home and abroad. The program is a blatant violation of international law and seriously infringes on human rights.

About 80 000 U.S. prisoners are in solitary confinement in the country. Some have even been held in solitary confinement for over 40 years.

The U.S. still faces grave employment situation with its unemployment rate remaining high. The homeless population in the U.S. kept swelling and it had climbed 16 percent from 2011 to 2013.

Racial discrimination systematically exists in U.S society. The situation of ethnic minorities' human rights is grim.

Sex discrimination is still serious, and children's rights are not well protected in the United States.

Recalling Uncle Sam has carried out a lot of drone strikes in Pakistan, Yemen and other countries causing many innocent civilians dead, the article bitterly condemned the U.S. as the worst abuser of human rights of peoples in other countries.
