DPRK Free from Tax: Korean in U.S.
Pyongyang, March 12 (KCNA) -- The Chinese internet paper Liaoning Sinmun on March 7 carried a travelogue on the homeland contributed by a Korean in the U.S. under the title "Korea, a mysterious country".

The tax system serves as a means for plunder against working people in capitalist society, the travelogue said, and went on:

The DPRK is free from tax.

It totally eliminated agricultural tax in kind in 1966 and enforced the Law "On Abolishing the Tax System" in 1974, becoming the first free-tax country in the world.

When I visited the DPRK for the first time, I had deep impressions after being told that there is no tax in the country. It has become a common sense that one should know that there is no tax in the DPRK if one wants to visit it.
