Amnokgang Sports Team Tops Domestic Table Tennis Rankings

| Pyongyang, February 28 (KCNA) -- The Amnokgang Sports Team proved successful at the division-1 table-tennis contest of the Paektusan Prize Sports Games held here some days ago. The team bagged five gold medals in men's and women's team events, women's singles and men's and women's doubles. The April 25 Sports Team won two gold medals in mixed doubles and men's singles. An official of the Table-tennis Association told KCNA: The April 25 Sports Teams had been the national table-tennis champion. Men's and women's team events and men's singles remained its exclusive property in particular. It took 8 years for the Amnokgang Sports Team to win back the domestic table-tennis championship after its victory at the DPRK Championships in Juche 95 (2006). |
