Kim Jong Il's Birth Anniversary Observed Abroad
Pyongyang, February 28 (KCNA) -- Seminars took place in Pakistan, Mongolia and Ukraine from Feb. 6 to 14 to observe the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il.

Reporters and speakers including Javed Ansari, secretary general of the Society for the Study of Self-Reliance of Pakistan, the general secretary of the Sind State Committee of the Pakistan Awami National Party and Ghulam Rabbani, chairman of the Karachi Juche Study Centre of Pakistan, praised Kim Jong Il as an outstanding thinker and theoretician, peerless statesman, iron-willed brilliant commander, great sage of humankind and genius of creation and construction.

His great exploits, patriotic enthusiasm and boundless love for the people will always be remembered by all peoples.

E. Maksim, secretary general of the Mongolian Peace and Solidarity Body, said it is great exploits to go down long in history that Kim Jong Il developed the Juche idea and turned the DPRK into an impregnable socialist fortress.

He extended full support to the Korean people in their efforts to build a thriving nation by firmly adhering to the line of independence in politics, self-support in economy and self-reliance in national defence and to reunify the country, guided by the idea of national independence.

N. Sarantuya, member of the Leadership Council of the Mongolian Mt. Paektu Association for Independent Development, referred in detail to the fact that Kim Jong Il proclaimed the programme for modeling the whole society on Kimilsungism 40 years ago.

The chairperson of the Crimean Association for the Study of the Juche Idea of Ukraine said Kim Jong Il's development of the Songun idea is of world historic significance. The chairperson spoke about Kim Jong Il's Songun leadership feats, the founding of the Songun idea and its essential contents.

A congratulatory message to Marshal Kim Jong Un was adopted at a seminar held in Mongolia.
