The Cuban ambassador said in a speech that Kim Jong Il further developed the friendly relations between the parties, governments and peoples of the two countries provided by Fidel Castro Ruz and President Kim Il Sung.

The revolutionary cause pioneered by the peerlessly great men has been successfully carried forward by supreme leader Kim Jong Un, he noted.

Expressing belief that the friendly relations between the two countries would grow stronger, he sincerely wished Kim Jong Un bigger successes in his responsible work for leading the Korean people to victory.

Kim Yong Il said in a speech that it is an expression of boundless reverence for Kim Jong Il that Cuban comrades significantly celebrate the Day of the Shining Star together with the people of the DPRK every year.

It is a valuable fruition of the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il with the strong will and pluck that the army and people of the DPRK have protected Korean style socialism centered on the popular masses despite the enemies' vicious moves to isolate and stifle it, he noted, adding:

The Korean people will as ever positively support the fraternal Cuban people in their struggle to smash the U.S. imperialists' blockade moves and protect the gains of socialism.
