Foreign Crewmen Celebrate Day of Shining Star
Pyongyang, February 16 (KCNA) -- Foreign crewmen met in Wonsan Port and Haeju Port Saturday to celebrate the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il (Day of the Shining Star).

They placed bouquets and paid tribute to the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and the portrait of smiling Kim Jong Il in Wonsan City and Haeju City.

Attending the meetings were captains and crewmen of the Panamanian-flagged ship Sea Star 7 and Belizean-flagged ship Hai Xing 2.

Speeches were made at the meetings.

Speakers said that Kim Jong Il is the eternal leader of the Korean people, symbol of the great Paektusan nation and the banner of all victories and glory as he brightly indicated the path to be taken by the Korean revolution and the human cause of independence with his outstanding wisdom and energetic ideological and theoretical activities.

Grand monumental edifices built in different parts of the DPRK are a great fruition of the firm determination and will of Kim Jong Il to give a face-lift to the appearance of the country and glorify Kim Il Sung's Korea all over the world, they said.

The revolutionary cause of Kim Jong Il is being creditably carried forward by Marshal Kim Jong Un, they stressed, adding:

The Korean people are upholding Kim Jong Il in high esteem as the eternal general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and the eternal chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and are waging dynamic struggle to build a thriving nation under the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

The DPRK will surely build a reunified, prosperous and powerful country in the near future as there is the wise guidance of the WPK headed by Kim Jong Un and the single-minded unity of the army and people upholding the party's leadership with loyalty.

Letters to Kim Jong Un were adopted at the meetings.
