Korean People Enjoy January 15th of Lunar Year
Pyongyang, January 14 (KCNA) -- The Korean people celebrated the January 15th of the lunar year, a folk holiday.

Houses across the country overflowed with national emotion and optimism.

Families and neighbors sat together, had holiday dishes including boiled rice admixed with four other staple cereals and nine dried edible herbs and played folk amusement games such as Korean chess and yut-games.

Working people in Pyongyang had Pyongyang noodle, mung-bean pancakes and other folk dishes at service networks.

National flavor was pervaded with special dish service at service networks across the country including restaurants in the folk street of Sariwon City and Okgye Restaurant in Haeju City.

As the joyful day got dark, people went to Moran Hill and the bank of the Taedong River in Pyongyang and scenic spots across the country to enjoy the full moon.

From the olden times, people talked about their wishes, looking at the full moon at the January 15th of the lunar year.

On this evening the people across the country hardened their will to translate into a reality the dream and ideal of the happiness of their families and the beautiful future of the country, holding Marshal Kim Jong Un in high esteem as their father.
