Present there on invitation were the ambassador and staff members of the DPRK embassy in Beijing.

A director of the Executive Council of the Public Center for Diplomatic and Cultural Exchange of China said that he was very pleased to celebrate the birth anniversary of Kim Jong Il together with the Korean people, adding:

Kim Jong Il was born in the secret camp in Mt. Paektu on February 16, 1942 and performed undying exploits in the struggle for the prosperity of the country, happiness of the people and human cause of independence all his life.

I wish the Korean people big successes in their efforts for building a thriving nation and achieving the reunification of the country under the wise leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

The participants watched Korean films.
