Unreasonable Punishment of Those Related to Case of UPP of S. Korea Blasted
Pyongyang, February 13 (KCNA) -- Minjok Thongsin, internet paper of Koreans in the U.S., on Feb. 4 carried an article written by a member of its editorial board denouncing the unreasonable punishment of those related to the case of the Unified Progressive Party (UPP).

The article accused the south Korean prosecution authorities of demanding 20 years in prison and other heavy penalties for those related to the case.

Scrutiny into the trial of the case held so far indicates that there is no evidence proving that they "followed the north," it noted, and went on:

A close scrutiny into the evidence produced by the prosecution helps one clearly understand that the case was faked up.

It is no more than a composition made by a person at the level of primary school pupil.

While the trial was under way the prosecution repeatedly staged confiscation and search operations and arrested more people. This was not the law enforcement but dictatorial rule.

The prosecution demanded very heavy penalties for those related to the case on groundless charges, a clear proof that this was done according to its scenario.
