Kim Jong Il's Birth Anniversary Observed by Foreign Media
Pyongyang, February 13 (KCNA) -- A foreign paper carried a special write-up and radios of foreign countries aired special programs on the occasion of the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il.

The DR Congolese newspaper L'Avenir on February 5 carried articles under the headline "The Korean people celebrate the birth anniversary of immortal H.E. Kim Jong Il" illustrated with a photo of him acknowledging the salute of military parade columns.

The paper said in articles:

Born in Mt. Paektu, the holy mountain of revolution, Kim Jong Il endowed with deep love for the country and its people devoted all his life to the building of a thriving country.

He clearly indicated the way to be followed by the Korean revolution and the human cause of independence through his energetic ideological and theoretical activities and brought about epoch-making changes in all spheres of politics, military, economy and culture.

He underwent all sufferings which a revolutionary and human being could face in a protracted and arduous revolution but thought only of the revolution, dedicating himself to the beloved country and its people.

His whole life was, indeed, that of a peerlessly patriot who dedicated his all to the country and its people.

The State Radio and the "F.M.90.5" Radio of Cambodia in their special programs praised Kim Jong Il's Songun leadership exploits on February 3 and 4.

Radios of Guinea on February 5 aired a story about how Kimjongilia, immortal flower, came into being and conveyed news that it is in full bloom across the world thanks to the boundless reverence of all peoples for Kim Jong Il.
