Cooking Show Given at National Cooking Competition
Pyongyang, February 12 (KCNA) -- A demonstration cooking was given at the recent national cooking competition held here.

What drew attention of the spectators in the demonstration was cooking of mung-bean pancake, one of traditional dishes, and seasoned rice rolled in laver.

O Yong Ran, a cook of the Chongnyu Restaurant, distinguished herself in cooking mung-bean pancake. She made a tasty and soft mung-bean pancake with lard, displaying her refined and swift skills.

In preparing seasoned rice rolled in laver, cooks of the Taedonggang District Restaurants demonstrated their special skills. They used processed beef, sand eel and vegetables in making this dish.

The demonstration showed the cooks' devoted efforts for improving the people's diet.
