Proposal of DPRK Supported by Nepali Political Parties, Organizations and Institutions
Pyongyang, February 8 (KCNA) -- 49 Nepali political parties, organizations and institutions made public a joint statement on January 29 in support of the crucial proposal and open letter of the National Defence Commission (NDC) of the DPRK. They included the Nepal Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist), Nepal Communist Party (United), Nepal Worker-Peasant Party, Nepali National Memorial Committee for President Kim Il Sung and Leader Kim Jong Il, Nepal-Korea Friendship Association, Nepal Institute for the Juche Studies and the Newspaper Gorkha Express.

The statement said:

Political parties, organizations and institutions of Nepal sincerely hope for the reunification and peace of Korea.

We are deeply touched by the crucial proposal and open letter of the NDC of the DPRK.

We fully support the crucial proposal and open letter which reflect the desire of all the Korean people to achieve the independent and peaceful reunification, peace and prosperity of Korea by the concerted efforts of the Koreans in the idea of by the Korean nation itself.

The south Korean authorities should put an end to the hostile policy towards the fellow countrymen and make a bold decision to cancel the joint military drills to be staged in collusion with outside forces.

We urge the south Korean authorities to sincerely implement the historic June 15 North-South Joint Declaration in order to improve the inter-Korean relations and achieve durable peace on the Korean peninsula.

The south Korean authorities should positively respond to the crucial proposal and open letter of the NDC of the DPRK.
