Day of Shining Star to Be Celebrated in Romania

| Pyongyang, February 7 (KCNA) -- A Romanian preparatory committee for celebrating the birth anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il (Day of the Shining Star) was inaugurated by the Romanian Socialist Union on January 30. Constantin Rotaru, chairman of the union, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee. He said that the preparatory committee set the celebration period from Feb. 1 to 16 and decided to hold diverse political and cultural events during the period. |
