The meeting discussed the tasks of women's union organizations to devotedly carry out the important tasks set forth by Marshal Kim Jong Un in his New Year Address and more thoroughly establish the monolithic leadership system of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Kim Jong Sun, chairwoman of the Central Committee of the union, made a report to be followed by speeches.

The reporter and speakers called on women's union organizations to increase their function and role, prepare the union members to be true Kimilsungists and Kimjongilists and consolidate the single-minded unity of the revolutionary ranks this significant year marking the 40th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's proclamation of modeling whole society on Kimilsungism.

They called for concentrating all efforts on the ideological campaign, information and agitation activities for giving full play to the mental power of the masses and actively organizing various do-good-thing movements and socialist emulation drive for increased production which are conductive to building a thriving nation.

They also called for consolidating the ideological and purposeful unity and revolutionary unity of the ranks of the union in every way and further enhance the function and role of women's union organizations, holding Kim Jong Un in high esteem as the unitary center of unity and leadership.

Decisions were adopted at the meeting.

Present there were members and alternate members of the Central Committee of the women's union and its officials in Pyongyang and local areas.
