Rodong Sinmun Blasts Japanese PM over Yasukuni Visit
Pyongyang, February 4 (KCNA) -- Japanese Prime Minister Abe talked nonsense at a recent international meeting that the world should understand his visit to Yasukuni Shrine and that he behaved just like leaders of various countries of the world who prayed for the soul of those who fought for their countries with respect for them. He blustered that visits to the shrine would go on in the future, too, as Japan aspires after global peace.

Rodong Sinmun Tuesday observes in a commentary in this regard:

What Abe uttered is little short of an open declaration that Japan would take the road of reinvading Asia by repeating the history of the past aggression.

It is by no means fortuitous that Abe would justify the visit to the shrine and put it into practice in the future.

Japan has already made almost all the preparations for overseas aggression in all aspects.

What remains to be done now is to create a social atmosphere for reinvasion.

The Japanese reactionaries are painting war criminals as "heroes" and "patriots" through the visit to the shrine in a bid to instill the idea of praising the history of aggression and giving a steady continuity to it into the Japanese instead of imbuing them with guilty conscience.

It is hypocrisy for them to assert that they will not start a war.

They are keen to hurl the Japanese armed with the idea of militarism into overseas aggression if the time for doing so gets mature.

They had better stop at once their rash militarist actions, not forgetting the bitter lesson the Japanese imperialists drew from the defeat they suffered in their Asian aggression, warns the commentary.
