Proposal of NDC of DPRK Supported by Organizations of DR Congo, Sweden
Pyongyang, February 4 (KCNA) -- Organizations of the DR Congo and Sweden made public statements on January 27 and 28 in support of the crucial proposal of the National Defence Commission (NDC) of the DPRK.

The DR Congo-Korea Friendship and Solidarity Association said that the crucial proposal sent by the NDC of the DPRK to the south Korean authorities is acceptable to any Korean and it is a special measure to practically create a peaceful climate for Korea's reunification. It went on:

We fully support the crucial proposal which called for reunifying the country with concerted efforts of the Korean nation by preventing the danger of a nuclear war on the Korean peninsula and achieving national reconciliation and unity.

The south Korean authorities should not turn away their face from the sincere efforts of the DPRK to open up a fresh phase of national reunification but face up to the trend of the times and opt for reconciliation and unity.

The people from all walks of life in south Korea should no longer allow the U.S. interference in the Korean issue, bearing in mind that in case a war breaks out again on the peninsula, its victim is the Korean people only, not the U.S.

The Sweden-Korea Friendship Association stated:

We are sure that the crucial proposal of the NDC of the DPRK is very constructive.

It is natural and necessary for Sweden to positively support the DPRK's crucial proposal for defusing tension and resuming dialogue and cooperation between the north and the south.

We appeal to the government, political parties and media of Sweden to support the proposal and thus make a contribution to the DPRK's efforts to defuse tension and ensure the peace on the Korean peninsula.
