LED Lamps Popular in DPRK
Pyongyang, February 3 (KCNA) -- An increasing number of LED lamps are applied to households and public buildings in the DPRK.

The lamps have already been installed at hotels and edifices, making conspicuous their evening view.

Among their makers are Pyongyang, Samcholli and Rangnang Myohyang lighting appliances factories.

Those lamps are as bright as compact lamps, with less power consumption. And they are highly resistant to impacts and vibrations and favorable for environment with no mercury contained. The serviceable life of this lamp is 100,000 hours.

Choe Myong Suk, manager of the Rangnang Myohyang Lighting Appliances Factory, told KCNA that the factory is speeding up the production in an aim to replace all lightings in the country with LED lamps, true to supreme leader Kim Jong Un's New Year Address on intensifying the economization campaign throughout society.
