L. Shukolinikov, chairman of the Permanent Committee of the Belarus-DPRK National Friend Association Named after Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The preparatory committee decided to give wide publicity to the sacred revolutionary career and undying exploits of Kim Jong Il and hold colorful political and cultural events including meeting and seminar on his exploits on the occasion of the Day of the Shining Star.
