Day of Shining Star to Be Marked in Egypt

| Pyongyang, February 1 (KCNA) -- An Egyptian national preparatory committee for celebrating the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il (the Day of the Shining Star) was inaugurated on January 26. Yehia Zakaria Khairullah, vice-chairman of the Socialist Freedom Party of Egypt, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee. The committee decided to organize diverse political and cultural events for praising the career and exploits of Kim Jong Il between January 27 and February 16. |
