Crucial Proposal of NDC of DPRK Supported by Russian, Bulgarian Figures
Pyongyang, January 31 (KCNA) -- Personages of Russia and Bulgaria issued statements on January 22 and 23 in support of the crucial proposal of the National Defence Commission (NDC) of the DPRK.

Viktor Yegorov, chairman of the Karelia-DPRK Friendship Association, said that the NDC of the DPRK issued a crucial proposal for paving a wide avenue for mending the north-south relations by concerted efforts of the Koreans upon the authorization of the government, political parties and organizations of the Republic.

It went on:

It is the invariable stand of the party, government and people of the DPRK to improve the inter-Korean relations and achieve reconciliation and unity.

The south Korean authorities should take practical measures in response to the appeal of the DPRK for ensuring peace and security on the Korean peninsula.

We extend absolute support and solidarity to the party, government and people of the DPRK in their efforts to improve the north-south relations.

Lyudmil Kostadinov, chief of the Bulgarian Group for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, said:

The NDC of the DPRK made a series of proposals including taking practical measures of halting all acts of provoking and slandering each other on the occasion of the Lunar New Year's Day.

We fully support the just proposal of the NDC of the DPRK which is of vital significance in preventing a nuclear disaster, ensuring peace on the Korean peninsula and achieving the independent reunification of the country.
