Day of Shining Star to Be Marked in Venezuela

| Pyongyang, January 31 (KCNA) -- A Venezuelan preparatory committee for celebrating the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il (Day of the Shining Star) was inaugurated in Barquisimeto City, Lara State on January 23. Omar Lopez, chairman of the Venezuelan National Society for the Study of the Juche Idea, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee. The preparatory committee decided to hold a seminar on the subject "Role of the Workers' Party of Korea in the development of the Korean revolution and exploits of Comrade Kim Jong Il" on the Day of the Shining Star. |
