S. Korean Paper Raps Japanese Ultra-rightist for Justifying Sexual Slavery
Pyongyang, January 28 (KCNA) -- The south Korean paper Kukmin Ilbo on Jan. 27 in an editorial condemned a Japanese ultra-rightist for justifying the sexual slavery.

It said:

The new president of NHK said in an interview that as regards the issue of sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army, there were comfort women in any country which fought a war and the issue of paying reparation had already been settled.

This is a mockery not only of its victims but also of all other women, the editorial noted, and continued:

His assertion that Japan had never forcibly drafted any women is a sheer distortion of history.

The fact that Japan forced women into sexual slavery with state power involved has been proved by historical data and specific testimonies made by victims.

These days such reckless remarks of ultra-right politicians of Japan have gone beyond a tolerance limit. These utterances denying and distorting history come under fire worldwide.

It is necessary to force the government of Japan to make an official apology and reparation for the sexual slavery as early as possible.
