Astronomical Phenomena to Be Seen in Korea This Year
Pyongyang, January 27 (KCNA) -- A series of astronomical phenomena are expected to be witnessed in Korea this year.

Moon will rise at 17:43 on February 14, Jongwoldaeborum (the fifteenth day of the first month by the lunar calendar), and full moon will be observed on February 15.

Venus can be seen in the eastern sky before sunrise from mid- January to mid-October. And it will be seen in the western sky from late October to late December.

There will be partial solar eclipse on April 29 and October 29 in the world, but such phenomena can not be seen in Korea.

Also, total moon eclipse is forecast to be seen in April and October. Expected to be witnessed in Korea is the moon eclipse from 18:14 to 21:34 on October 8.
