Kim Jong Il's Birth Anniversary to Be Marked in Russia

| Pyongyang, January 27 (KCNA) -- A Karelia, Russia, preparatory committee for celebrating the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il (the Day of the Shining Star) was inaugurated on January 22. Viktor Yegorov, chairman of the Karelia-DPRK Friendship Association of Russia, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee. The preparatory committee decided to widely introduce the immortal exploits of Kim Jong Il and organize diverse political and cultural events between January 22 and February 20. |
