Rodong Sinmun Slams Japanese Reactionaries for Insulting Anti-Japanese Patriotic Martyr
Pyongyang, January 26 (KCNA) -- Martyr An Jung Gun Memorial recently opened at the Harbin Station in China.

An Jung Gun is an ardent anti-Japanese patriotic martyr who shot to death Hirobumi Ito, a sworn enemy of the Korean people, at the risk of his life in the period of the Japanese imperialist colonial rule over Korea.

But the Japanese reactionaries seriously insulted the martyr, calling him a "terrorist" and "criminal" while finding fault with the construction of the memorial. This has touched off the indignation of the Korean and Chinese people, says Rodong Sinmun Sunday in a commentary.

It goes on:

To call An a "terrorist" and "criminal" is a rude act against history and justice.

The Abe group is heaping vituperation even by pulling up with the incident in which the mastermind of the Japanese imperialists was killed. This clearly proves how desperate the present Japanese ruling forces have become in their efforts to revive militarism.

Clear evidence is their visit to Yasukuni Shrine to eulogize war criminals who committed a whole gamut of barbaric acts in the past.

The world has turn sharp eyes to Japan which is following in the footsteps of the Japanese imperialists in the past. The reason for it is that the Japanese imperialists committed unprecedented hideous crimes.

The world will never pardon the Japanese reactionaries going reckless in their moves to revive militarism and to make the crime-woven history repeat itself, the commentary warned.
